NFL Committee on the Standardization of Disciplinary Procedures
MocoMUN NFL Specialized Committee
Sherwood MUN
Dear Delegates,
Hello, and welcome to MocoMUN 2015. My name is Eric Bergman, and I will be co-chairing your Specialized Committee on the topic of the Standardization of Disciplinary Procedures. This committee was created to be a different take on the classic MUN format, and we hope that you will have as much fun partaking in the committee as we had creating it. This committee places you, the delegates, in the center of NFL. You will be assuming the role of different prominent figures in the NFL, from the commissioner himself, to coaches and players, to represent each of their own ideas on how the NFL should punish those who break the rules. It is up to you, the delegates, to either change how the NFL acts, or leave it alone.
Now a little about myself. My name is Eric Bergman, I am currently a senior at Sherwood High School, and I am in my 3rd year of MUN. I have attended numerous collegiate conferences, including William and Mary and John Hopkins University. This is my second time chairing a committee and my 2nd time at the MocoMUN conference. I play varsity baseball for Sherwood, and while I am an avid fan of baseball, I am also a dedicated fan of football. My favorite teams are the Boston Red Sox, Washington Nationals and the New England Patriots (aka the Superbowl 49 Champs).
This committee was created to unite both those who are avid fans of the NFL, and sports in general, and those who are not. Ben, my co-chair, and I hope to see a diverse committee, and hope that this committee will be as fun as we planned it to be.
If you have any questions, comments or concerns, feel free to contact Ben or I and we will try to get back to you as soon as possible.
Until we meet on October 16,
Eric Bergman

Dear Delegates,
Hello! My name is Benjamin Hesse and I am a senior at Sherwood High School this year. As you probably have figured out, I am a huge NFL fan, specifically of the New York Giants, and I take a great interest in league functions. In addition to MUN, I also play baseball and basketball, and am part of several other clubs at Sherwood. At MUN, I have been both a chair and a delegate so I have great confidence in my ability to lead and direct an exceptional committee. The NFL committee at this year’s MocoMUN should certainly be a unique and fun experience! Whether you are an avid football fan or just your typical MUN-er, this committee will be unlike any other MUN committee you will ever partake in. Functioning similar to other specialized and crisis committees, each delegate will be assigned a person rather than a country. It is your job to accurately portray that person and their interests during debate. While this committee is meant to be fun, it should also be taken seriously as the issues we will be discussing have real world implications. Remember, the more you embrace your role as your representative, the more enjoyable committee will be. I look forward to hearing your ideas and opinions about how we can improve the NFL disciplinary policy!
Best regards,
Benjamin Hesse
